Gliese 436 (Gl 436), is a dim 11th magnitude red dwarf star about 30 light years from Earth in the constellation of Leo. It is orbited by at least one planet, Gliese 436 b, with evidence from the radial velocity measurements indicating a possible additional companion of unknown mass orbiting further out.
The Planet has an orbital period of 2.6 Earth Days. It is 22.5 Earth Masses and roughly 50,000km in diameter.
